The integral committees that make up St. John’s are listed below. Whether you are interested in security and safety, landscaping and gardening, fundraising and events, or organization and care of the cemetery grounds there is always room for extra hands.

The Security Committee

Members of this team of parishioners open and close the church facilities. Their efforts help to ensure that all our facilities are safe for our children and for our adults. They also provide modest oversight of groups who have rented our facilities for their own purposes.

The Cemetery Committee

While our historic cemetery is largely cared for by a lawn service, the Cemetery Committee is responsible for the sale of burial plots, planning of interments, oversight of the professional grounds crew, and ongoing care of the historic aspects of the cemetery such as historic headstones.

The Landscape Committee

Some folks love working outside and taking care of our campus. A professional lawn service maintains the basic upkeep of all our grounds, and the landscape team tends our shrubs, flowers, and the like that surround our buildings.

The Parish Stewardship Ministry

This dedicated group coordinates the stewardship campaign, works maps out an annual series of events and opportunities to raise money for the ministries of the parish, including those that reach out to the needs of our local and global community. Many of these events include wonderful times of fellowship, such as our Fall Dinner and Silent Auction.

The Hospitality/Fellowship Committee

Every Sunday, the Hospitality/Fellowship Committee organizes a “coffee hour” of lite fare refreshments for church members and visitors to eat, talk and build stronger connections. We also host extended coffee hours to celebrate holidays, special events and to honor members of our parish who are reaching milestones in life – baptism, confirmation, birthdays, anniversaries or changes in job status. During these times, the committee asks that members contribute to these social hours with donations of finger foods. All are welcome!
