Children

“Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such
belongs the kingdom of God”
(Luke 18:16)

Each Sunday, we provide age - appropriate activities for children from infants through 8 th grade that help them to learn about the Love of God through Bible study, prayer, and Episcopal traditions. We especially enjoy using creative worship experiences to help our children build a lifelong relationship with the hope and life - changing power of Jesus Christ

Sunday School

3 years old – 8th Grade
Virtual Sunday School is held at 11:30 on Sundays following our streamed service. Children from pre - school (age 3) through 8 th grade enjoy online games, simple crafts and Christian fellowship. Our lessons come from many Episcopal church resources and help our children to be familiar with the Bible, to empathize with those who struggle in this world and to marvel at the wonder of God’s creation. Our dedicated teachers know each child by name and delight in their growth in faith

Children’s Church

Birth – 8th Grade
One Sunday each month, virtual Sunday School becomes a prayer service based on the Church season. This child-centered worship allows our children to lead prayers and have direct virtual contact with our priest. Recent Children’s Church prayer services have focused on Blessing Backpacks and Devices for the start of school, the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi and blessing of animals, and a celebration of All God’s Saints.

Sunday School Outreach

St. John's Sunday School has a long history of focusing on outreach to people in our world who are less fortunate than we are. Our annual tradition of collecting coins to support Gods children of the Haiti Micah Project is a favorite to many of our children.
