Elizabeth Walker

Hello, I am Elizabeth Walker, a “middler”– or second year student– at Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria. Originally from Norfolk, I am excited to be back in Virginia after living in Seattle for the last 20 years. I moved with my family, my husband Dave and children, Matthew (14), Rosalie (10), and Andrew (8), after being made a postulant in the Diocese of Olympia. I was confirmed in the Episcopal Church in 2009 and served as Director of Christian Formation at Epiphany Parish, Seattle, from 2013-2020. Prior to this role, I was an active lay leader, teaching Sunday School, assisting with youth group, and leading a meals ministry. Before my children were born, I was a middle school teacher, with a passion for languages and a special interest in middle school education. I bring a love for working with God’s children of all ages, particularly in areas of Christian formation, pastoral care, and community engagement. I am delighted to be called to serve at St. John’s and to experience the power of the Holy Spirit moving in your special congregation. I look forward to meeting you and keep you in my prayers!
