Emily Meeks is in her second year at Virginia Theological Seminary and is a postulant for Holy Orders to the Priesthood in the Diocese of Olympia. Emily was born and raised in North Carolina and attended the University of Georgia where she majored in journalism. Her discernment for ordination began after moving to Seattle and spending time on the many trails in the Pacific Northwest. It was on a bike commute to a new job that she discovered The Episcopal Church and forever changed her spiritual journey. She is passionate about cultivating practices for lifelong discipleship and accompaniment through shared story, movement, and table fellowship. Emily is married to Stuart, and together, they enjoy connecting across cultures through travel.
